EmpowerED
Where Every Mind Belongs
Personalized 1:1 tutoring rooted in confidence, connection, and whole-child support.
About Us
At EmpowerED, we believe learning should feel personal, supportive, and empowering. We provide individualized academic and social-emotional support for students in grades K–8 through tutoring, enrichment, and skill-building services designed to meet the needs of the whole child.
Founded by a certified teacher and a licensed social worker, EmpowerED was created to bridge the gap between academics, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and real-life support. We know that every child learns differently, and we are committed to creating affirming spaces where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, build confidence, and grow at their own pace.
Our approach combines evidence-based instruction with relationship-centered support. We offer services in reading, writing, math, executive functioning, social skills, and more, while also helping students develop confidence, self-awareness, organization, communication, and emotional regulation skills.
At EmpowerED, we value culturally responsive teaching, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and family partnership. We strive to make learning engaging, accessible, and meaningful for every student we work with.
More than tutoring, our goal is to help students feel capable, understood, and empowered — both inside and outside of the classroom.

Why We Started EmpowerED
EmpowerED was founded by two sisters who understand firsthand how deeply learning, identity, confidence, and emotional well-being are connected.
As neurodivergent students with late diagnoses, we both experienced many challenges throughout school that often went unseen or misunderstood. We struggled with things like executive functioning, emotional regulation, confidence, masking, and feeling like we had to work harder just to keep up. For years, many of our needs were interpreted as personal shortcomings rather than differences in how we learned and processed the world.
Everything began to change when we received proper support, accommodations, understanding, and space to better understand ourselves. Through those experiences, we became more connected to our identities, strengths, and learning styles — and we realized how many students are still navigating school without that same support.
We started EmpowerED because we wanted young people to have access to the kind of encouragement, relationship-centered learning, and individualized support we wish we had earlier.
Our goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to help them feel confident, capable, understood, and empowered in who they are.
Why Families Choose EmpowerED
Families choose EmpowerED because our support goes beyond academics.
We prioritize:
relationship-centered learning
confidence-building
culturally responsive practices
neurodiversity-affirming support
emotional safety
individualized instruction
Our goal is to help students not only improve academically, but also feel empowered in who they are as learners.
